Submissions

Manhattan
Brass

The Manhattan Brass is active in reading, performing and commissioning new works for brass. We enjoy working with composers and welcome submissions of your works. Please see the following parameters for submission. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee any type of performance or recording, and we can not return any materials - please don't send one-of-a kind materials. We will contact you after we have read the work, and will offer comments if you so desire. Also, due to scheduling and programming restraints, we can not guarantee a timely reading of your submissions, we can only guarantee that we WILL read your work (assuming parts are included in your submission). Our reading sessions happen from one to four times a year, or as merited.

Please include as much of the following to ensure a positive reading experience for your works:

•PARTS - legibility is of prime importance - digitally we can receive parts formated and ready to print in any pdf, Sibelius or Finale compatible formats

•SCORES - same as above

•RECORDINGS or MIDI-type SAMPLES - in the form of cassette, cd, mp3, or any standard digital audio format

please send these materials to the following address:
Wayne du Maine
109 Van Arsdale Place

Teaneck NJ 07666

or email with or without attached files:

The Manhattan Brass has a long history of working with composers from many backgrounds; from established names to unknown composers early in their carreers. We look forward to finding new and intriguing works via your submissions and to working with you in the future.
